As young professionals, we face the question of whether or not to attend business school. The coveted MBA supposedly opens doors, offers unique networking opportunities and improves your value proposition as a job applicant. While all three points are worthy of universal truth status, the decision-making process does not get any easier.

 

I am a part-time MBA student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and I faced the same decision during the halcyon days of 2006, in addition to the decision between the part-time and full-time programs. Over the course of this year, I’ll be penning a series of posts that compare and contrast the full-time and part-time MBA experiences. Before I get started, let’s address the critical assumptions you need to know before entering the MBA Draft.
