Fred joined YPC in late 2007 and quickly became active on the Professional Development Committee. Fred took over as Director of Professional Development in July of 2008, and gained his current role in 2009. Fred is excited to develop the operational infrastructure of YPC by leveraging technology and automation in 2009. As his first project, Fred shepherded the redesign and transition of YPC’s website to its new, more functional, platform.
Professionally, Fred is Vice President of Margin for optionsXpress, Inc. OptionsXpress provides internet-based options, stock, bond, mutual fund, and futures brokerage services to retail and instructional customers both in the United States and internationally. Its brokerage platform delivers various trading tools, which allow retail and professional investors to identify, analyze, and execute a range of investment strategies.
Prior to working at optionsXpress Fred was on the retail side of the street at Edward Jones Investments; and held prior management roles at Providian Financial and Global Research and Recovery.
When away from YPC and the office, Fred loves to cook, travel, workout, and enjoy all the city has to offer.
Fred was born in Mexico City, and raised in Texas.
